Delicious - A tool that cleans up your chaoctic internet storage
Storages with only one shelf and a few items on it
As a private person the number of homepages that are of interest might be limited to only a few homepages that can easily be remembered. One might not become aware of the breath of the internet and it therefore does not appear to be a maze in which things that were once attained can get lost forever, if we do not bookmark them.
This can be seen within the diagram on the left. Each circle represents a homepage that is regularly visited by this private person. The circles overlap to some degree, but can still easily be told apart. In the middle of the diagram all circles overlap and the boundaries of the circles blur most, which shall reflect the common features of homepages like they are all part of the wide web and means of communication. The different colors, however, simplify to differentiate between the circles. The colors and the parts that do not overlap symbolize the different topics and intentions of the homepages. So a person who does not make use of the internet too often, might get along without any bookmarks.

A student's life - too many items on far too less shelves
As a student I do need to work with the internet, since its diversity offers the possibility to get acces to plenty researches and their results or pages that are useful for term paper or presentation topics.
One keyword typed into a search engine might lead to an unlimited number of hits on the same topic.
This can be seen in the diagram. The circles that shall refelct the amount of homepages of use overlap to a certain extend, which make it harder to tell circles apart. Furthermore, the colors do not differ that much anymore, since there are various homepages on the same topic and the parts that do not overlap were mininized to very small part, so that the circles can only hardly be told apart now.
The breath of the web and its maze-like character become known and one tries to work through those hits that seem to offer the most useful information. Then I often end up with at least three to five pages one can imagine to quote for some work, but unfortunately I cannot write my paper or presentiation in a couple of hours and I surely do not want to leave on my computer for several days. So I need to find a way how to save those pages for further use. At the beginning of my studies I always used the bookmarking tool of my internet provider, but I quickly regarded this as unsatisfying because the bookmarks I had made on my computer could neither be used on another computer at university, for example, nor did the entry tell me exactly what the page was about and how I intended to use it. So that I had to work through those pages I had bookmarked again. The maze got smaller, but it was still a maze that needed to be dealt with.
But now, I got to know delicious and I think it can be really useful to organize one's internet work. There are three things I appreciate most about delicious. First of all, I can save pages and have access to them from any computer. Second, I can learn about other people's bookmarks on the same topic and might easily find useful information . And finally and maybe most important,I can categorize the homepages and describe their content and why and how I want to use them.

A teacher's life - Many more items that need to be stored properly
Surely a modern teacher avails oneself of the services of various internet plattforms. The fact that a single teacher teaches numerous topics in different subjects on various grades consequently means he or she has to face a number of useful homepages that can hardly be kept track of, so that delicious can be really helpful to keep track of those homepages and categorize them, accordingly to subject, grade or topic.
As the diagram shows, the boundaries of the circles do not only overlap on some parts, but some even vanish behind others, which shall reflect, that it might be possible, that the teacher came acorss an interesting page, but did not store it properly, which means he or she knows it is there, but he or she does not exactly know where or how to get there. The maze seems to have grown over the years.

A "Delicious" life on the web...
As you can see in the picture above, delicious can sort all useful homepages one has once found or that were found by others into categories and puts up signs to find one's way around this big maze that's called internet.
